GREEK STATISTICS

Nationally, 71% of all Greeks graduate, while only 50% of non-Greeks graduate.

 

The all Greek GPA is higher than the overall collegiate GPA.

 

Since 1910, 85% of the Fortune 500 key executives are Greek.

 

Of the Nations 50 largest corporations, 43 are headed by Greeks.

 

76% of Who’s Who in America are Greek.

 

All but two Presidents and two Vice Presidents, born after the founding of the first social fraternity in 1825, were fraternity members.

 

76% of U.S. Senators are Greek.

 

Both women elected to the U.S. Supreme Court were sorority members.

 

Over 85% of the student leaders on 730 campuses are members of Greek letter organizations.

 

All of the Apollo 11 astronauts were Greek.

 

As undergraduates Greeks raise approximately 7 million dollars a year towards charities. 

 

Only two percent of the population are members of Greek organizations.

 

Less than 2% of an average college student’s expense goes towards Greek membership dues. 

 

Following Graduation, Greek-affiliated alumni have higher average incomes than non-Greek alumni.

 

Students who join fraternities and sororities are more likely to return to college the following year.

 

Employers consider 18 keys factors in evaluating job interviews.  The Greek community provides opportunity to develop 12 of those key factors; real world experience, leadership qualities, personal presentation, attitude, communication skills, problem solving, community service orientation, adaptability-drive-initiative, proven track record, ability to learn, preparation for interviews, and self confidence.
