GREEK LIFE FOR PARENTS
As your student begins his/her college
experience he/she will
have the option of going through formal
recruitment.
Joining a Greek organization can help your
son/daughter through the college transition
period by turning a large
university into a community.
Greek Life will offer your student a
more well-rounded college
experience by helping him/her with academics,
providing a support
system, and assisting in the overall college
transition.
Greek Life offers scholarship,
service, brotherhood, sisterhood,
and leadership as well as opportunities for
personal development.
Also it is a great way to network with Arkansas
State Alumni,
which can open doors after graduation.
Greek Life will also provide
you with opportunities to stay
involved with your student. Most Greek
organizations host Parent
Weekends, which allow you to visit the campus,
and interact with
other parents of your student’s organization.
In addition, most chapters
have parent clubs that allow you to volunteer
with the chapter.
We hope you will consider encouraging your
student to sign up for formal recruitment.
Your student can get more information and
register for
formal recruitment online at
union.astate.edu in the Greek Life section.
